Ned Hallowell
As a speech-language pathologist, I help children and teens who have trouble with speech sounds, so their speech is clearer and easier to understand. I use individualized assessment, targeted therapy, and simple practice strategies that help them use their new skills in everyday speaking.
Sometimes language challenges show up early, while others become clearer once children start school or transition to middle school and face new learning demands. I take the time to get to know your child or teen through assessment, so I can understand their strengths and where they may need support. From there, I offer personalized therapy to help build their language skills, confidence, and ability to succeed at school and in daily life.
Children and teens who experience difficulties with reading and writing need targeted, evidence-based support. Sounds-Write is a structured, multisensory literacy program grounded in well-established research on how children learn to read and write.
As a trained Sounds-Write practitioner, I provide individualized support to help your child or teen develop their reading and writing skills.
The Happiness in Autism Personal Project (H.A.P.P.Y.) is for individuals of all ages—“Young” meaning anyone from 0 to 99. This program was created by Peter Vermeulen, who is an international speaker on autism.
As a certified H.A.P.P.Y. coach, I support autistic individuals in identifying and building their own pathways to happiness and well-being, grounded in their unique strengths and needs.
I acknowledge with gratitude that my practice operates in Mi’kma’ki, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaq People. I honour the Mi’kmaq People, their stewardship of this land, and the Treaties of Peace and Friendship that continue to shape our shared responsibilities today.
